When only one of the guardians accompanies the minor, written authorization from the other is required, with a notarized signature or made at a Federal Police station.

For minors traveling unaccompanied or with third parties, the requirement escalates to authorization with notarized signatures from both parents, specifying the companion and the travel period. 

This document must have two copies and follow the template available on the Federal Police website.

Pets and travel by car

Those bringing pets must present the International Veterinary Certificate (CVI), issued by a veterinarian accredited by MAPA and validated at Vigiagro.

The animal must have an up-to-date rabies vaccine and a health certificate issued up to 10 days before boarding. This process takes at least a week.
